MDAC 2.7 SP1 cannot be installed on this machine Microsoft Data Access Component Installation Error

Installation encounters an MDAC error while installing the software:

Microsoft Data Access Component MDAC 2.7 SP1
cannot be installed on this Machine.

MDAC 2.7 SP1 requires any of the following configurations:
  • Microsoft Windows 98 with the Y2K Update 2 and Internet Explorer 4.01 SP2 or later
  • Microsoft Windows 98 Second Edition
  • Microsoft Windows Millennium
  • Microsoft NT ® 4 SP5 (or greater) and IE 4.01 SP2 or later
  • Microsoft Windows 2000

Setup will exit now. Please restart the Setup after installing the necessary updates to this machine.

Solution:

Majority of MS Windows computer already have a latest version of MDAC installed and updated with Windows Automatic Updates. If during installation of the software on new computer or newer versions of Windows Operating systems, your computer does not already have a latest version of (MDAC) Andica software installation routine will attempt to install it for you.

If you get an error suggesting that a version of MDAC supplied with the installation (MDAC2.7Sp1 or MDAC2.8, etc) cannot be installed on this machine, you can download and install a latest version from Microsoft website:

Once you have installed MDAC on your computer, you can install the software.
