Error reading set up initialisation file

Error reading setup initialisation file

Symptoms:

When installing software using a downloaded software setup file, InstallShield Wizard may display an error message "Error reading setup initialisation file"

Cause:

"Error reading setup initialisation file" is usually the result of an unsuccessful download and happens if the broadband internet had disconnected or was interrupted or blocked when the installer file was being downloaded. There may be no browser or system error messages to indicate that the download was incomplete or corrupted so it may seem to have downloaded successfully.

The downloaded installer file is incomplete or has been corrupted during download.

Solution:

To resolve this issue, download the software installation file again.

Most internet browser will give an option to 'Save' or 'Run'. Select an option to Save the file on your computer first and then run it once it has been successfully downloaded. Do not Run the file directly from the internet.
